Auditor - Contract 


The Senior Quality Engineer/ATL will perform a variety of duties to ensure Westinghouse products and services meet applicable quality, regulatory, statutory, and technical requirements.  In addition, they will manage or work with cross-functional teams in the development and execution of quality activities that support management system activities, corrective action issue resolution and analysis, customer projects, and QEHS program assessments.  This is a US ONLY Remote role.  Travel both domestically and internationally is anticipated for a 1 week duration, every other month as business needs dictate.
Your Day to Day:
•    Lead and coordinate audits and assessments to verify compliance with applicable regulations, codes and standards.
•    Lead and coordinate process performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
•    Participate on or lead projects, which may encompass multi-functional areas. Successfully achieve established quality objectives within budgetary and schedule constraints.
•    Identify opportunities and implement solutions for enhancing quality processes to improve productivity and ensure customer satisfaction.
•    Communicate changes in policies, processes, and systems. 
•    Consult with various groups/organizations to determine optimal methods for implementing QEHS requirements and offering recommendations for issue resolution.
•    Follow-up on assessment corrective actions, evaluate responses and ensure objective evidence substantiates adequate closure.
•    Perform gap analyses and assist in integration plans for mergers and acquisitions with respect to QEHS.
•    Analyze applicable data to translate issues into insights and actionable recommendations.
•    Apply advanced quality analytical techniques/tools and statistical methods to identify nonconformance causes and trends, recommend improvement/corrective actions, rate performance and measure effectiveness of programs and internal processes.
•    Review and screen internal and industry operating experience information for organization applicability.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate you will bring the following to the team:
•    A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, technical area or equivalent is required.
•    A minimum of 5 years of technical or quality experience is required.  EHS experience is optional but preferred.  
•    Experience leading or participating on Quality audits is preferred.
•    Working knowledge of international standards, national regulations, and industry standards such as International Standards Organization ISO 9001 and ISO 14001; US NRC Regulations 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21; Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire regulations ESPN; and national consensus standards for quality assurance, such as, ASME B&PV Code, ANSI ASME NQA-1, RCC-M, ANSI N45.2 and the daughter standards, IEEE standards, CSA Codes, etc.
Additional requirements for lead auditor:
•    Basic requirement of certified auditor by a credible entity, such as ISO, ASQ, etc.
•    Preferred requirement of certification as NQA-1, lead auditor.
