We are looking to add an ambitious Marketing Communciations Manager, to partner with our Americas Operating Plant Services (AOPS)  leaders to define and deploy marketing communication strategies and content that will support the growth and transformation of the AOPS business unit to attract customers and generate leads, and enhance Westinghouse brand both externally and internally.  This is a hybrid role requiring the ability to think strategically and implement tactically.   The ideal candidate will have knowledge of leading-edge and up-to-date communications tools and how to leverage them for the company.

 

The role is expected to partner with outside marketing and communications agencies that will implement tactics and meet established goals. The position will collaborate with business partners and Communications organizational team members to develop and execute marketing communications plans that build business value and advance our competitive position.

Your Day to Day:

  • With a growth and digital first mindset, develop world-class content in support of a marketing communications strategy and plan for the region in support of Trade Shows, product marketing campaigns, PR, social media, and other digital communication platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including marketing experts, product marketing, sales, operations and legal to produce outstanding communication materials that enable sales and increase our channels.
  • Contribute to driving awareness and familiarity of Westinghouse products and services within the BU, enhance the awareness and image of the company and ultimately contribute to the efforts to drive sales and profitability
  • Contribute to deploying Management communication plans internally, enhancing company values and culture and supporting the transformation orientations
  • Support employee communications programs that include engaging content and social mobilizing events, creative storytelling materials using a variety of tools and channels (intranet, newsletter, digital applications such as Yammer…)
  • Develop yourself and others as a key player within the BU and Global Communications team.
  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies) to produce content for publication online and in print
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization to inspire ideas and content
  • Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
  • Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the Global Communications team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Assist in proofreading and editing world-class content
  • Coordinate with external agencies to ensure simple keyword research and SEO guidelines are enforced to maximize online visibility of search results and increase web traffic and content engagement.
  • Create and promote content on social media
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content to recommend and develop new topics
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
  • Update website content as needed

 

Who You Are:​​

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing communications, journalism. Master’s preferred.
  • Seven + years experience required in corporate setting and a communications background with proficiency in marketing communications, advertising, corporate communications, public relations, media relations, brand marketing, or related field preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated change management communications experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record and passion for applying marketing tools and digital technology
  • Experience in providing ongoing data management and campaign performance reporting.
  • Experience in marketing communications, brand management, social media engagement.
  • Ability to quickly generate quality content for a variety of platforms (e.g., digital marketing, social media, thought leadership, product promotion and advancement, etc.).
  • Working knowledge and application of AP writing style
