This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at our Westinghouse Facility in Dallas, TX. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for complex nuclear power plant systems evaluating plants potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (i.e., seismic, fire, flooding, etc.)
- Lead project teams effectively contributing to the technical execution as well as the schedule and financial objectives
- Provide direct PRA support for day-to-day plant operations and PRA applications implementation
- Support and identify strategic initiatives, develop product offerings and pursue target product markets
- Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- At minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical)
- 10+ years professional experience
- Minimum of 7 years of nuclear power plant experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience with PRA Model development applied to nuclear plants.
- Knowledge of PWR reactor operations
- In addition to basic Risk and Hazard skills, should have a strong knowledge of
- Internal/External Hazards PRAs
- PRA Applications
- Level 2 PRAs
- Human Reliability Analysis (HRA)
- Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs)
- Proficiency with PRA software (CAFTA, RiskSpectrum)
- Peer Review experience
Nice-to-Have:
- Professional Engineer License considered a plus
