About the role:

As a Engineer - VVER technology you will work together with the team on various VVER projects, both ongoing projects and business opportunities.

You will report to the Resource Manager for this department located in Västerås, Sweden. The position can be located in Finland or Sweden.

Model of work: hybrid.

Welcome to Westinghouse and Global Engineering Services. We are around 2000 engineers globally whereof about 60 are located in Sweden and Finland. We have competence within several areas such as structural analysis, thermohydraulic, chemistry, components and safety analysis that contributes with engineering expertise to different projects here at Westinghouse.

You will join a team of 15 Engineers within Nuclear Safety, Licensing and BWR Plant Technology, we are also growing our VVER Team. You will also collaborate with other departments within Westinghouse globally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•              Participate in design activities for different technical solution for VVER

•              Feasibility studies and engineering calculations

•              Interaction with customers and other stakeholders

•              Identifying business opportunities for VVER

 

Qualifications:

•              University degree in mechanical engineering, nuclear technology, or similar field of study

•              10+ years of experience from any of the fields of Safety Analysis, Component Engineering, Plant Systems Engineering, Licensing or Reactor Operation

•              Very good English language skills, very good Ukrainian or Bulgarian language skills is beneficial

•              Familiar with the licensing process in Ukraine and/or Bulgaria

•              Ability to work independently and proactive

•              Knowledge of VVER technology

•              Knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the VVER fleet in Eastern Europe

•              Knowledge of international safety requirements, e.g. WENRA

•              Experience from operation of VVER-440 and/or VVER-1000 NPPs

•              Ability to do international business travel - up to 10%
