Manager – eVinci Materials Engineering
Technical Leadership: Manage engineering and testing activities to develop and qualify materials for the eVinci Microreactor. The position will manage a team of engineers and materials scientists to perform complex materials testing at multiple laboratories. A track record of forging effective partnerships between government, prime contractors, vendors, and National Labs to support the eVinci program.

Financial Excellence:
Develop Direct overall work scope estimates and manage cost and schedule to meet project requirements.
Customer Value: Proactively seek, develop and implement initiatives to cost effectively achieve goals and ensure customer satisfaction. Interact directly with program management to ensure project needs and milestones are achieved.
Talent Development: Promote and enable professional and technical development of direct line engineering staff. Ensure talent utilization objectives are achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority):
Implement standards contained in Westinghouse "Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct." Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies and enforce them within this supervised activity.
Define, develop and introduce goals and objectives for the Westinghouse team to support commercialization objectives set for the eVinci microreactor. The position will be responsible to manage the materials engineering and development scope for the eVinci program.
Maintain oversight of group operations, anticipate and direct timely and effective responses to problems.
Develop and implement staffing plans through direct hiring as well as assignment of matrix resources to meet group objectives.
Promote independent actions of staff to improve operations and customer relations. Interface with US and Canada national labs in support of Government contracts.
Manage technological and engineering methods and/or applications to incorporate improvements, regulatory driven updates, and requirements specific to the eVinci project.
Support communication of overall project progress working directly with project management.
Direct or participate in preparation of proposals, provide technical leadership and initiate actions to ensure customer satisfaction while protecting interests of Westinghouse.
Consult with other internal functions to provide advance information on potential business opportunities and collaborate in efforts to win contracts.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies:
Education Level (Degree, Area of Study) – Minimum Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Advanced degree preferred. Nuclear degree desirable.
• Broad knowledge of engineering principles and techniques and applications in area of specialization.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing major engineering projects and large, skilled and diverse staff.
Years of Experience 10 years of experience – relevant experience in nuclear plant licensing, design, testing, procurement, manufacturing, installation, startup and vendor oversight.
