About the role:
As an eVinci Manufacturing Industrial Engineer you will support eVinci manufacturing development and commercialization activities.
This is a hybrid role, located in Etna, PA. You will report to the eVinci Manufacturing Manager.
No relocation or sponsorship is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the eVinci transition from the manufacturing development phase to test reactor, and commercial manufacturing.
- Coordinate Design for Manufacturability activities including design concept and option development, manufacturing process planning and cost estimation, for assigned components and systems.
- Monitor operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.
- Design efficient production processes and workflows.
- Ensure that processes are designed to ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Reduce waste and address production issues.
- Review production schedules, processes, and specifications.
- Evaluate data to implement technological improvements in production processes.
- Implement controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.
- Identify potential locations and determine facility design.
- Work with other departments to develop design and production standards.
- Prepare inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs.
- Design facility layout and personnel requirements concerning production operations.
- Help to develop instruction manuals for production personnel.
- Ensure that work processes are safe and address safety issues and concerns.
- Create process documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial or related engineering/technical discipline
- 3+ years experience
- Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in the field or industry
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and supply-chain management
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Just In Time (JIT) strategizing
- Project management skills
- Can use presentation software and present complex information to non-technical management personnel and other team members
- Use Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools helpful
- Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms
- Experience using System Applications and Products (SAP) software
