This Resident Site Manager opportunity will be in support of Haiyang RST contract, a single Resident site Manager position has been identified for continuous support of site on going services as well as develop opportunities in engineering services, field services. Along with commercial support, this individual will also provide support to oversight during customer outages. 

 

This posiition will be located/based around the Haiyang Nuclear Plant (China).

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Overall Westinghouse site lead ) with responsibility to give official Westinghouse positions and to determine Westinghouse resources to support site  needs that threaten plant safety, availability or capacity factory.
  • Serve as the primary WEC onsite advisor to all levels of site management and plant personnel on plant operation and technical matters concerning all Westinghouse systems products and services.
  • Coordinate with the Customer’s staff and Westinghouse staff to implement all Westinghouse scope of site services.
  • Serve WEC and the customer as the on-site primary liaison who is cognizant of both parties’ organizations to expedite responses to information and service needs.
  • Serve in various site management level committees to reinforce improvements in the areas of Nuclear and Industrial Safety, Human Performance (HuP), keeping radiological dose and contamination As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), Refueling Outage Preparation, nuclear power plant operation, maintenance, project management, administration, and training / qualifications.
  • Require a broad nuclear technical knowledge of Westinghouse products and services and nuclear plant systems/operations in order for the customer to receive prompt responses to technical questions on equipment design, condition or recommended repair.
  • Serves all onsite activities of all WEC Nuclear service commitments including physical work scope for product lines, Health Physics/ALARA, Scheduling /Planning, security, training, material shipping and receiving. Will support the other sites (typically other Entergy sites) during their outages when required.
  • Conducts project kickoffs,  solutions challenge reviews, and pre and post job briefings. Compiles and delivers reports before, during and immediately upon completion of each WEC project. Including in these reports are discussions on scope, schedule, budget, overall performance and best practices based on lessons learned and Operational Experience (OE).
  • Provides leadership for the Westinghouse  site team to ensure continued improvement of project and professional performance. 
  • Reviewing and benchmarking processes, programs, and skill sets, coaching and mentoring to continuously improve site capabilities.
  • Sharing AP1000 lessons learned, operation experience and changes from other worldwide project, industry experience as applicable between Westinghouse and SDNPC.
  • Assessing degraded and non-conforming conditions, reviewing design changes developed by customer, reviewing system health reports and performance metrics to identify potential issues.
  • Ensure all projects and commitments are met and that WEC and Utility Customer policies and procedures are followed
  • Design and Signature authority on behalf of WEC for areas within his/her expertise.
  • Other tasks defined in Haiyang Resident Site Team Service contract or assigned by line manager.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related
    • Master Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience in the Nuclear Industry, engineering or product management and exposure to marketing principles and processes. 
    • AP1000 Technology familiarity & experience required
  • Significant customer facing experience.
  • Travel Requirements: (50% or greater travel)
  • Position requires unescorted access status for nuclear plant sites
  • Has a working knowledge and experience with human performance tools with a strong Safety focus.
  • Bilingual (Chinese and English) are preferred to ensure effective communication with all parties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with the customer and Westinghouse personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to interface well with all levels of the Customer and Westinghouse organization
  • Experience with NSSS engineering requirements
  • Experience with field service and major project planning and execution
