About the role:

As an Electrician you will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and controls of plant equipment, machinery and facilities.

You will report to the E&I Team Manager and be located at the Westinghouse Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility, located in Hopkins, South Carolina.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair solid state, relay‑based, and air logic control systems.

  • Install and repair switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, multiple AC & DC motors, generators, and controllers.

  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and multiple equipment control systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical systems.

  • Diagnose equipment trouble and make necessary repairs.

  • Install and repair electrical distribution systems.

  • Read and update electrical schematics.

  • Know and apply local and national electrical code.

  • Maintain equipment and leave work area in a clean condition.

  • Follow accountability, criticality, safety, security and hygiene procedures.

  • Perform traceability function.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have Industrial Electrical Experience

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum 1 years Maintenance/Industrial Electrician experience required

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical control systems and relay based systems acquired either through appropriate course work or equivalent work experience.

  • Satisfactory performance in present position.

  • Know and apply local and national electrical code

  • Certificate or associates degree from Industrial Electricity Program.
