Facility Manufacturing Engineer

Your day to day:

• Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex chemical, mechanical, or regulatory area problems
• Provide direction and assume project management responsibility both inside and outside department lines.
• Identify and recommend improvements where established technology components and methodology are inadequate   
• Seek new approaches to problems and new applications of existing engineering or scientific principles
• Evaluate the results of programs and prepare reports and recommendations based on these evaluations
• Prepare plans, schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements for solving major engineering or scientific tasks identified by management
• Initiate, direct, and perform work required to solve these tasks.
• Maintain technical awareness in advancements of engineering technology in specific area or field
• Serve as mechanical engineering lead for plant utility equipment such as boilers, air compressors, HVAC systems, city water, fuel oil, natural gas, fire water, plant chillers and cooling towers
• Create/revise maintenance procedures for plant utility equipment
• Support maintenance department in repairs/refurbishment of plant utilities

What you need to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/related technical discipline or equivalent
• Minimum of five years, but typically up to ten or more years, of applicable engineering experience is required
