Fuel Contract Manager
Assure customer's technical and delivery requirements are met and contract value is maximized consistent with Westinghouse strategic and financial objectives. Understand and communicate customer’s needs to business unit. Act as Contract Manager & commercial focal point for all communications with customer concerning contracted deliverables under the fuel / components contract(s), cooperate and assist with business unit marketing activities, contract execution, order implementation and control, and resolution of problems for specific customer deliverables.
This is a hybrid role based in Colombia, SC.
No relocation or sponsorship is available.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead Contract Manager role for major NF delivery activities; order implementation and control; resolution of technical problems for specific assigned customers. Lead resolution of multi-discipline issues during fuel and fuel component fabrication, fuel reload engineering efforts, fuel receipt, and fuel operation and serve as customer interface for gaining customer acceptance. Interpret customer specifications and other contractual requirements in order to support Westinghouse engineering positions or dispositions with customer management.
- Financial responsibility to assure that customers billing plans are accurately entered and sustained, invoices are issued on-time and revenue recognition / EBIDTA targets are met. Continuously maintain systems supporting Financial Planning, Business Planning and Demand Planning.
- Obtain customer feedback and provide periodic updates as requested by Management.
- Track execution of contract work scope (manufacturing, product/core/reload engineering) based on knowledge of the fuel or components contract.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of NF contract, products, and services. Assist with integration of products and service capabilities and directly promote to resolve customer needs.
- Contract Manager responsibility for promptly resolving, often through direct customer contact, scope, warranty, product or technological deficiencies, suspense, and cost/scheduler conflicts. Assure issues are promptly resolved internally.
- Prepare and issue the Job Order Documents including Region Order, CATD (Contract And Technical Data), and Utility Requirements documents based on customers’ unique Contractual requirements.
- Communicate manufacturing status and issues to the customer while building strong relationships with customer counterparts. Know the customer's organization, objectives, and expectations thoroughly.
- Support Account Teams with multi-business proposal/contract preparations, customer presentations, and contract negotiations. Validate product line capabilities to meet customer requirements prior to proposals. Communicate customer requirements to product line.
- Facilitate assignment of NF product line engineering resources for routine and emergency technical situations when necessary to meet customers’ needs.
- Direct engineering & commercial activities associated with order, implementation, invoicing, and closeout, ensuring accuracy and contract compliance. Manage the contract with regard to the schedule and billing plan using SAP, ENOVIA, EDMS and other assorted tools.
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred. Nuclear industry experience is a plus.
- Minimum of six years of experience in product line/engineering/marketing /projects organizations or equivalent. Preferred 10 year experience.
- Knowledge of fuel and components manufacturing, core and reload engineering, NF products and services, commercial operations, financial planning and strategic objectives. Previous customer-oriented experience highly desirable. Experience using SAP, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word, EDMS (Webtop) or similar tools
- Demonstrated ability to communicate deliverables status, issues, and Westinghouse technical position to the customer while building strong relationships with customer counterparts.
- Ability to travel within the US and Asia
- Availability to work flexible hours in support of meetings with international customers and Account Teams.
