 Grid Area Tech 2

Provide technical support to the day to day operations in the grid area.  Support includes: laser troubleshooting, grid dispositioning, collecting and entering data, and helping to revise procedures. The goal of this position is to help improve the grid area performance in terms of reduced downtime and problem investigation.

Your Day to Day:

  • Day-to-day monitoring of area to insure that the area is running safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot laser units as needed
  • Disposition grids and provide feedback as needed
  • Gather information needed prior to progressing issue to next level
  • Act as singular point of contact for issue during shift
  • Provide and implement improvements
  • Data collection for improvement projects
  • Improve Procedures
  • Gather data and observe task performance to identify procedure weaknesses
  • On call responsibility
  • Technicians will have cell phones and be on weekend call on a rotating schedule.
  • Calls must be taken within 20 minutes if on call

What you need to be successful in this role: 

High School Diploma

Associates degree in a Technical discipline preferred

Manufacturing Experience

2-3 years experience with laser welders preferred, but not required
