The role of the Integrated Launch Process Project Leader is to effectively comprehend new product introduction or new customer offer requests and lead a process in partnership with the Business Unit and functional groups to identify impacts, assign necessary actions to resolve all impacts, ensure alignment with manufacturing strategy, track actions, report on progress, escalate issues and gaps, and facilitate resolution.  This position is 100% remote.

 

Your day to day:

  • Ensure that First of a Kind (FOAK) and First in a while (FIAW) products and processes are properly scoped such that all impacts and risks to manufacturing are identified and the projects are placed into the correct workflow process (Flawless Launch, Design to Value, Integrated Development Process)
  • Clearly evaluates, communicates, and monitors technical and commercial detail to affected areas of the Global Manufacturing organization (Environmental Health and Safety, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Etc.)
  • Provide GOS input responses for engineering impact evaluation sheets (EIES)
  • Track and report progress on all requests, escalate issues and facilitate resolution
  • Collaborates with GOS Manufacturing sites, Sales Inventory and Operations planning (SIOP), Global Supply Chain Solutions (GSCS), Business Units, and other partners within the broader organization
  • Understands and can pressure test scoping documents, cost estimates, schedules, and other project details
  • Represents the Global Manufacturing group on WEC-wide new product introduction

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with preference for a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management (or relevant experience on one or more of these fields)
  • Minimum 3 years in any combination of Engineering, SCM, or Operations Management. Must have minimum 5-years of experience in nuclear industry and demonstrated ability to manage programs and drive continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of APQP or similar new product qualification / introduction process is beneficial. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is desirable

Skills:

  • Cross-functional, working-level understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and project management. Candidates should have SME level understanding of at least one of those areas. Able to utilize technology for data collection and reporting.
