About the role:
As an Instrumentation and Controls intern, you will report to the EFIN Manager and be located at our Columbia location. This is a paid full-time onsite summer position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and troubleshooting of fuel manufacturing sites
- Develop technical expertise fuel manufacturing supporting the CFFF and new construction of the LEU+ manufacturing site
- Work with Engineering Mentor to develop skills for Safety Basis in a Nuclear
- Work in teams to resolve critical issues impacting the construction and operation of nuclear manufacturing facilities
- Develop and maintain an effective business relationship with internal and external Westinghouse customers
- Develop specifications for replacement parts in the manufacturing environment
- Follow plant standards for design and implementation of projects at the CFFF
- PLC code review, programming, optimization, and visualization – Allen Bradley and GE
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Experience with Technical Design and Analysis
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate a variety of issues
- Open to limited travel
- PLC programming experience
- HMI Visualization experience
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
