Integrated Launch Process Project Leader

The Integrated Launch Process Project Leader is a new role that will work within the Global Manufacturing Strategic Operations group to: provide coordination and oversight to evolutionary or first in a while (FIAW) products and process concepts meant for implementation within GOS Manufacturing. This position is focused on the rapid evaluation of new evolutionary/FIAW product/processes concepts to determine complexity, resource requirements and resulting impact to the organization. The ILP Project Leader coordinates interactions with SIOP, Manufacturing and Operations personnel at all GMFG sites, and works across organizations, collaborating with Product Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Quality, and support organizations including Finance, HR and EHS. Confirm that new evolutionary/FIAW product/processes concepts are aligned to GOS manufacturing and product strategies. Rapid evaluation of product viability and supporting manufacturing organizational impacts will follow the requirements of the Integrated Launch Process.

Your Day to Day:

  • Provides analysis and coordination for concepts and initiatives coming into the Integrated Launch Process
  • Clearly evaluates and communicates technical and commercial detail to affected areas of Global Manufacturing organization
  • Collaborates with GOS Manufacturing sites, SIOP, SCM and other partners within the broader organization
  • Understands and can pressure test scoping documents, cost estimates, schedules, and other project details
  • Represents the Global Manufacturing group on WEC-wide new product introduction

What you need to be successful in this role: 

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with preference for a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management (or relevant experience on one or more of these fields)
  • Minimum 3 years in any combination of Engineering, SCM, or Operations Management.
  • Must have minimum 5-years of experience in nuclear industry and demonstrated ability to manage programs and drive continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of APQP or similar new product qualification / introduction process is beneficial.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is desirable


  • Cross-functional, working-level understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
  • Candidates should have SME level understanding of at least one of those areas.
  • Able to utilize technology for data collection and reporting.
