LEU+ Communication Specialist

Organize, develop, and support the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) and the LEU+ communications efforts for internal and external stakeholders. Partner with CFFF and Corporate Communications specialists on community events. Partner with external PR firm(s) to execute on an overall communications strategy.
Your Day to Day:
- Work with Facility and Project team to develop and implement communications plans to achieve business objectives
- Collect and coordinate information from appropriate source(s) to draft internal and external communications messages
- Recommend appropriate level of communication considering audience, setting, cost, and technical and productive requirements of various media
- Interpret technical and proprietary information for development of messages for internal employees and/or key internal and external stakeholders
- Effectively interact with and solicit cooperation from a broad range of personnel to accomplish duties
- Manage on-site communications systems – posters, digital screens, etc
- Support site presence at external events to enhance Westinghouse reputation and brand to include creation of materials to support events and communications efforts
- Maintain CFFF external website and other digital media channels to enhance Westinghouse’s reputation and promote employee activities
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree required in one of the following: Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience
- Manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Be able to manage multiple projects at a time
- Understand the complexity of communication to various types of audiences using diverse media
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills
- Must be comfortable working across multiple cultures
- Must be comfortable working with a cross functional approach to meet objectives
- Diplomacy, tact, and persuasiveness are needed to interface with employees, stakeholders, local community
- Create communications that will attract attention, interest, and serve as a forum to educate/inform
