Responsible for gathering and compiling budgetary data in order to provide tools to management that will allow them to make sound decisions based on accurate information. This position will interface with Area Engineers as the direct back up to the Tool Room Supervisor to help mitigate production issues that require Tool Room services and outsourcing jobs.
Your Day to Day:
- Compile and tabulate data gathered from internal and external customers in order to maximize the impact of financial expenditures
- Gather and analyze data in order to arrive at the best decision based on need and budgetary constraints
- Based on budgetary projections advise management on a course of action to help mitigate adverse impact to the budget because of staffing
- Detail and report on financial expenditures to management on how they may an adverse impact to the budget and report possible countermeasures to mitigate adverse budgetary impacts
- Process purchase orders using SAP, Ariba and credit card
- Process requisitions for tools and material
- Interface with Supply Chain to provide support in mitigating issues that hinder the creation of purchase orders
- Classify expenditures according to company policy in order to take advantage of capitalization savings
- Investigate capacity for suppliers to ascertain if orders can be completed in house or if it needs sent out for quoting by an outside supplier
- Track the life cycle of an order from inception to completion, providing support to resolve issues, mitigate road blocks for orders with special needs
- Interface with Area Engineers to facilitate the mitigation of production issues as the back up to the Tool Room Supervisor
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical degree
- 5 years experience required, 8-10 Preferred
- 4 yr Tool Makers Certificate preferred in order to understand tooling requirements preferred
- Using SAP, various machine tools, understands budgetary restraints, procedure owner, machine set up, OJT trainer
