About the role:
As a Material Service Attendant B, you will move, receive, ship, weight, store, issue, pack/unpack purchased parts and supplies.
You will report to the Team Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work from approved operating procedures and instructions.
- Receive, unload, unpack, verify and record received materials, parts, tools, supplies Report and help resolve discrepancies.
- Store and deliver materials.
- Perform necessary material traceability and accountability transactions.
- Contact customers of materials received.
- Issue or dispatch items to authorized locations and employees. Record appropriate transactions.
- Conduct inventories and periodic audits of stored or controlled items.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- We use fork-lifts, cranes, company vehicles, pallets, skids, boxes, and a banding machine. We also use lumber, nails, bolts, waterproofing materials, spray paint, and equipment.
- Additionally, we use hand tools, different manual and power saws, scales, hand trucks, dollies, and marking devices. Furthermore, we employ bins, forms, requisitions, inventory reports, files, transfers, computer documents, and scrap documents.
- Use a variety of raw, in-process and finished material, machine tools, purchased parts, paint, oil, special nuclear and other types of hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
