About the role:

As a Mechanical Engineer for Facilities Project Engineering, you will work with a multi-discipline team of engineers for design, analysis, and evaluation of systems using engineering software and support senior engineers.

You will report to the Facilities Support Lead and Supervisory Engineer for OP Mechanical Systems. You will work a hybrid scenario at the discretion of the manager based in Columbia, SC. No relocation provided. We can consider candidates able to work without sponsorship now and in the future.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering principles and engineering codes and standards like ASME and ANSI, to the design, analysis, and evaluation of systems

  • Resolve technical issues for operating nuclear power plants, new plants like AP1000, eVinci and other nuclear projects like fuel fabrication facilities

  • Develop calculations and reports to document design and analysis results following ASME Section III code requirements and other international codes

  • Work with engineers in other disciplines such as electrical and civil/structural

  • Represent internal and external project teams

  • Participate in customer and vendor meetings to present technical materials and justification of services and product designs

  • Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • 0+ years of experience

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering 

  • 0 years engineering experience

  • Interested in a career focused on areas like energy, power industry, nuclear power plant and ASME Section III criteria

  • Comfortable w/ travel
