About the role:

As a New Product Process Development Senior Engineer, you will have responsibility for manufacturing implementation of new products and performance-driven process changes.

This is a hybrid role, located in Columbia, SC.

You will report to the Manager - Grids and Core Component Design

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with product development teams for manufacturing implementation of new product designs
• Provide cost and schedule estimates to support development program scoping and eventual quotation
• Work with the Product Design and Product Assurance Engineers to ensure manufacturability and inspectability of new designs
• Review product drawings to ensure Design for Manufacturability principals are incorporated and the new designs are compatible with existing manufacturing processes
• Develop and qualify processes, tooling, and equipment for new product designs to ensure long-term manufacturability and process yields
• Fabricate components to support new product testing
• Coordinate release and revision of manufacturing and product assurance documentation, MES routings, and software in preparation for test component fabrication and production startup
• Assure processes developed for new products can meet all design requirements
• Coordinate ongoing cost model development and reporting of results

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 5 years' experience
