Nuclear - Mechanical Engineer
Thermal-Hydraulic
Your Day-to-Day:
- Perform standard thermal-hydraulic analysis work for US and international customers, following and understanding approved methodologies, procedures, and internal processes while maintaining focus on nuclear safety and quality to produce error free work. Analyses will support safe plant operation by determining design bases and limits that meet safety and regulatory criteria for the plant, fuel design, quantifying thermal margins and identifying and evaluating risks to fuel performance.
- Successfully achieve established budget and schedule requirements.
- Interface with customers and multi-functional project teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support development of new methods and processes for implementing technical requirements. Coordinate and/or prepare technical documents for associated licensing approvals and provide expertise and consultation to technical panels, reviews, committees, regulators, customers, and partners on various Thermal-Hydraulic related topics.
- Support special projects such as major programs, advanced plant designs, emergent customer issues, development of new fuel products, etc.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, etc.) or related Discipline (e.g., Materials, etc.) preferred or recognized equivalent required.
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and display a strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
- Computer programing skills preferred but not required.
