About the role:

As a Production Planner, you will develop production plans to ensure use of equipment, labor and inventory to meet plant goals and delivery to customers. You will work directly with Plant Operations teams and Westinghouse global teams. You will support multiple tasks, requiring building of interpersonal relationships throughout all levels and responsibilities within the business.

 

You will report to the Senior Manager of Production Planning, Inventory, and Component Manufacturing and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% onsite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop production schedule to meet customer demands, guide material requirements, and set levels of manufacturing output
  • Incorporate manufacturing constraints into production plans to improve use of bottlenecks
  • Communicate across multiple departments to coordinate operations schedules
  • Work with Materials Planners to ensure materials management, optimizing inventory delivery
  • Work with Master Scheduling to ensure long-term scheduling
  • Communicate order concerns affecting products to be built and try to find solutions with plant operations and Fuel Delivery Operations, which help.
  • Monitor inventory availability to eliminate unforeseen inventory impacts to production plans
  • Manage daily and 90-day scheduling while maintaining productivity cost controls
  • Support physical yearly inventories and weekly cycle counts

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree, project, operations or business management preferred or equivalent years of working experience.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in one or more (or combination of) the following areas: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, or Logistics.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools (especially Excel, Project, Word) and Primavera or other planning/scheduling software
  • Experience working in team environment, supporting Project Managers and Operations Managers in production planning activities

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
