About the role:

As a Quality Specialist you exercise of judgement and knowledge in records management and compliance.   You will use multiple electronic database systems to review and over-check incoming documents, interface with Regulatory, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer component of the business and escalate/support compliance issues

You will report to the Engineering Supervisor and be located at Columbia, SC and is an onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build new components in GSQA based on specifications, drawings and BOM requirements.

  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer, Supplier Chain components to resolve issues and recover information.

  • Clear errors, revise certificate, and perform daily approvals of certificates

  • Ensure Product Record program is in compliance with NQA-1 requirements.

  • Oversee and maintain fuel and core component certification procedures and job aids.

  • Support audits (internal, external and regulatory)

  • Review documents, such as production and shipping schedules, region orders, and utility requirements documents, to determine product certification requirements priorities and status of fuel shipments.

  • Collect and verify traceability of product manufacturing data.  This includes reviewing and pulling information from different manufacturing execution systems and verifying proper QC Release was performed.

  • Review product deficiencies and nonconformance data for applicability and proper closure before shipment.

  • Certify fuel shipment using appropriate computer software such as TAPRA.

  • Complete end of region as-built data.

  • Certify component shipments using applicable software (i.e., GSQA, CMS, WATTS, ENOVIA)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 2 years as Records Technician or experience in both physical and digital record handling relating to compliance in a regulated industry.

  • Additional years of education creditable as experience

  • Demonstrated experience in both physical and digital record handling relating to compliance in a regulated industry.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings/specifications.

  • Experience with MES production system
