About the role:

Westinghouse Government Services is looking for a Senior Manager, QEHS to lead enterprise-wide quality, environmental, health, and safety programs supporting critical U.S. defense and national security programs. You will provide strategic leadership across manufacturing, advanced reactor development, and nuclear services, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a safety culture.

You will partner with senior leaders, government agencies, and industry partners to drive high standards in quality and safety, influence across complex environments, and support mission-critical programs—including first-of-a-kind technologies like microreactors.

Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. DOE Q‑Clearance to support classified programs

 

You will report to the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, WGS. You will support this role 100% remotely with 33% travel required for this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the company's NQA-1 compliant quality program, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government customers, regulators, auditors, and JV partners
  • Integrate QEHS programs across a multi-regulatory environment (DOE, DOD, OSHA, EPA, NASA, etc.)
  • Direct audits, assessments, investigations, and supplier quality programs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including corrective actions, metrics, and performance tracking
  • Provide leadership for Ethics & Business Conduct programs, including investigations and reporting
  • Support proposal development and ensure you embed QEHS requirements in contracts and programs
  • Develop budgets and manage QEHS-related resources and expenditures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in QEHS, regulatory compliance, or technical operations leadership
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality standards (10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1)
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or project-based programs
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DOE Q Clearance
  • Experience in DOE, DOD, or government contracting environments
  • Advanced degree or certifications (CQA, CQM/OE, CSP, CIH, PMP)
  • Experience in FOCI-mitigated environments
  • Experience leading QEHS programs across complex, regulated organizations

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $177,556 to $194,250 per year.
