About the role:
As a Technical Training Consultant - Training, you will lead the development of training programs for a brand-new LEU+ manufacturing facility. Activities will include instructional design, adult learning principles, and team member engagement within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will determine necessary training requirements for the new processes, developing the training plan, identifying training requirements and applicable education/skills, and implementing a training plan for the LEU+ project.
The primary goal is to work with the LEU+ team to ensure qualified operators are available for operating timelines.
You will report to the Training Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. You will support this role 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work to ensure that organizational activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with relevant regulations, laws and standards
- Develop comprehensive training plans aligned with operational goals and timelines.
- Define training goals, success metrics, and qualification criteria for manufacturing roles.
- Create training materials including manuals, SOPs, e-learning modules, and hands-on training guides.
- Vet and select external training resources and vendors to ensure quality and relevance.
- Ensure all materials comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with teams to gather input and align training content.
- Facilitate regular communication with your team to ensure training needs are met and adjustments are made.
- Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and assessments.
- Support trainers and subject matter experts in delivering instruction.
- Monitor training progress and maintain accurate records of employee qualifications.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Implement improvements based on data and team member input.
- Stay current with industry best practices and latest training technologies.
Qualifications:
- We require an associate degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' training program experience in a manufacturing environment
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $76,400 to $95,500 per year.
