About the role:
As a US BWR Project Manager you will be responsible for all project management processes at Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF) implementing the TRITON11 USBWR program. Lead a matrix team, which may include project controls and sub-project managers. Support proposal process for moderate complexity projects, as assigned.
You will report to the Director, USBWR Program. This opportunity is based at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility, SC with 10-25% travel between global manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage USBWR project execution to exceed quality, schedule, and financial goals while following the department protocols for acquiring team members to complete the work. This includes:
-
Complete all aspects of planning processes including authoring project management plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines as well as, risk and partner registers.

Preparation and oversight of project cost expenditures, forecasts, and progress evaluations to support project and financial reporting requirements.

Cultivate productive relationships with team, customer, and other internal management in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion and identify opportunities for additional business growth.

Coordinate and Follow project execution complying with Westinghouse’s project management procedures. That means: manage risks and opportunities, lead Contract management, lead monthly project review, define jointly with the Lead Engineer the schedule, resources plan, financial estimates and the risks register, define jointly with the Lead Engineer the sourcing plan, update schedule, resources demands and risks register, update financial data in enterprise database, approve time and expenses of the project, elaborate the project Lessons Learn.

Create ideas for continuous improvement, growth and progress,

Participate in site execution of First of a Kind (FOAK) program to manufacture TRITON11 at Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility

Occasional traveling according to project need

Develop project task-based schedules and track/report milestone progress against the program management plan.

Manage project risks and opportunities to closure in partnership with functional leads and Program Managers. Identify issues, propose solutions and lead recovery plans to closure.

Implement within project schedule and budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-savings opportunities. Communicate with partners, providing updates on project milestones, risks, critical escalations and issues.

Use configuration control and change management to maintain technical discipline of the program.

Compare actual performance against planned performance to identify variances and help manage tasks on project planning.

Collaborate with program team members and departments to establish plans and schedules that allocate resources to best achieve program requirements and service internal and external client or customer needs.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as project manager leading and directing low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion (3 years in technical/engineering role and 2 years as project manager may be considered as equivalent).

Experience managing technical engineering projects and in regulated industries.

Understanding of with the Project Management Institute (PMI®)’s Project Management Body of Knowledge. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or the ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame specified.

Working knowledge in project schedule, cost, resource management, and risk management processes and associated tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, SAP, Active Risk Manager, or other related tools).

Experience working with engineering teams of different technical disciplines

Quality & Safety-First Mindset

Familiarization with Microsoft Project, P6 or other scheduling software.

Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business preferred

6-10 plus years of applicable Project Management experience preferred
