Process Operator

Operator position- Contract Indianapolis IN

Position Summary

Entry-level role that is working in a plant/factory. Performs a series of operations or tasks under close supervision, utilizing documented work processes.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality

*Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly

*Reads and clearly follows processes that are required

*Contributes to division results and performance

*Takes care of internal and external customer needs and expectations

Operate equipment specific to an area such as:

CARBON:

*Bag products, samples, and test; Manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; Switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon; calibrate PH probes, operate a filter press, run facility wastewater treatment plant

REGEN:

*Sort bottles by size and resin; load and unload deliveries to and from regional branch; Operates forklift to move bottles and materials through the plant and load/unload trucks; evacuates bottles

Position Requirements

1. FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required: High School Diploma or GED

1. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

*Must complete site-specific safety training

*Ability to communicate clearly to team members

*Be able to follow and read instructions

*Have basic math skills

Site-specific requirements:

CARBON:  Be able to complete 40-hour hazardous waste operations training

Preferred:

*Some manufacturing/plant experience

*Forklift driving

*Knowledge of computers
