APX Lead Procurement Project Manager

About the role:

As a Lead APX Procurement Project Manager, you will oversee procurement activities. These activities include pre-PO and post-PO tasks, supporting the V.C. Summer Project. Your focus will ensure that equipment is delivered on time, within budget, and observing applicable technical and quality requirements. We will situate the position onsite near Columbia, South Carolina and you will be the primary procurement interface between the project, customer, and APX Supply Chain.

You will report to Sr Manager, APX Supply Chain, and the and be located at Jenkinsville, SC. This is an onsite role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the primary onsite APX Supply Chain interface between the customer, V.C. Summer Project Team, and APX Supply Chain, supporting communication and coordination of procurement activities.

• Coordinate procurement activities across pre-PO and post-PO execution.

• Maintain procurement schedules, deliverables, dependencies, and commitments to ensure procurement execution remains aligned with the project schedule.

• Identify procurement constraints, schedule risks, supplier issues, and cross-functional dependencies that could affect project execution.

• Coordinate with responsible organizations to develop recovery and mitigation plans for activities that are approaching or exceeding established schedule commitments.

• Establish clear actions, responsible parties, and required completion dates resulting from meetings and guide next steps through resolution and closure.

• Escalate issues or new risks that could affect project cost, schedule, quality, or equipment delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in contract or project administration of complex engineering, procurement, or construction projects

• Stewardship across cultures, languages, and locations.

• Maintain long term productive relationships with suppliers (SRM)

• Experience in International Sourcing and knowledge of supplier base for the nuclear sector

• Strategic orientation with the ability to translate strategy into tangible operational results.

• Experience with complex projects

• Ability to travel from 10 to 20%

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
