The Engineering Intern will support Westinghouse APX Supply Chain team in multiple activities and tasks. These include verifying quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries from Westinghouse. This verification process spans from bid phase and component design through manufacturing. Support supplier evaluation for our suppliers as requested delivery stream office for AP1000 and AP300 opportunities in EMEA region.

You will report to the Senior Manager APX Supply Chain Account Management. This role is remote.

Responsibilities:

• Guide/Support Supplier Identification and Selection for PO Placement

• Guide/Support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations

• Guide/Support completion of NDA/PIA negotiations

• Lead RFQ package creation (i.e., draft requisition for RFQ including all technical and quality requirements)

• Lead Supplier Design Proposal / Compliance Matrix reviews

• Lead Kick-Off meeting with chosen supplier

• Conduct scheduled meetings (e.g., bi-weekly, weekly) with Supplier and Westinghouse Project Support Team

• Manage Westinghouse Project Support Team

• Manage execution of required Witness and Hold Points

• Hold pre-job briefs and kick-offs for important/critical PO manufacturing activities

• Guide/Support PO Change Notices

• Provide project schedule and customer status updates

• Ensure all required PO scope is complete, including fabrication, testing and documentation.

• Complete the Westinghouse Quality Release (QR).

• Archive the QR and associated Quality Assurance Data Package (QADP) in PRIME.

• Archive the QR/QADP in PRIME and then send it to the site or customer (as defined by the project) to aid in receipt and turnover of equipment.

• Work with Westinghouse Logistics to arrange for shipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in process in Mechanical/ Electrical/Civil/Electrical/Power Engineering

• Interest in the Power/nuclear Industry but could be in any of the following industries: Oil & Gas, pipelines, refineries, offshore production platforms, and manufacturing plants

• Be familiar with Manufacturing process/supplier assessment

• Fluent in English
