You will lead category and operational management for assigned commodities. You will take direction from the Director of Category Management and work to improve total cost, quality, delivery, and reliability to reach organizational goals. We require strong relationship skills to manage internal and external suppliers and provide solutions to meet our needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Primary relationship owner for suppliers within assigned commodities.

  • Manage the segmentation of assign spend into sub-commodity groups to create levers

  • Develop an overall commodity strategy to meet organizational goals by improving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while securing supply continuity through identifying and mitigating current and potential risks and opportunities in the commodity plan.

  • Lead the execution of the commodity strategy through a preferred supplier list (PSL). This involves "right-sizing" non-preferred suppliers and rewarding preferred partners with business awards. These awards are tied to Long-term Agreements (LTA) with year-over-year improvements in cost, delivery, quality, service, and profitability.

  • Review analysis from PowerBI and other tools to create insights into the drivers of assign commodity and possible effects to spend and cost projections to use as levers with our supply base.

  • Conduct regular business reviews (SRM) with main and strategic suppliers with teams and senior leadership.

  • Create presentations for supplier relationship management reviews, commodity plans, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/commodity gap analysis.

  • Create a plan to deliver annual results against metrics of payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity, inflation, and other metrics as determined by Procurement Leadership.

  • Research, track, and communicate industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and increased overall productivity

  • Develop a productive working relationship with peers on other teams: Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA or MS in any field of engineering)

  • Minimum 7 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in negotiations including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development

  • Strategic procurement professional with deep capabilities in negotiation, market intelligence, benchmarking, and project execution

  • Experience with vendor management including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration

  • Experience in gather, analyze and draw conclusions from quantitative data

  • Leverage strong interpersonal skills to influence, engage, and build enduring relationships throughout the organizatio

  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team environment

  • Experience maintaining long term productive relationship with suppliers (SRM)

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Project

  • ERP system or similar system experience in a global environment is beneficial (SAP & Ariba)

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 13,916 to 17,350 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
