To support the continued expansion of these technologies across international markets, Westinghouse is looking for an experienced leader to lead market development and strategic projects in the EMEA region.
The Director, Market Development, APX Project Development and Partnership is responsible for identifying, developing and advancing new market opportunities for Westinghouse solutions across the EMEA region, including AP1000, AP300 SMR and advanced energy storage technologies.
You will lead the development of new opportunities from early market identification through feasibility studies and front-end engineering phases to commercial contracting. The Director is responsible for shaping capture strategies, coordinating cross-functional teams and engaging with customers and key stakeholders to position Westinghouse technologies as preferred solutions.
The position requires close collaboration with account executives, engineering, supply chain, legal and commercial teams to ensure effective opportunity development and prioritization of internal resources.
Responsibilities:

Lead APX market development activities for Westinghouse in the EMEA region

Identify and develop new APX commercial opportunities across utilities and industrial customers requiring clean power, process heat or grid support solutions.

Develop and execute capture strategies for priority opportunities, coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering, licensing, legal and commercial functions.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with utilities, industrial customers, investors, government stakeholders and partners of potential APX projects

Lead the structuring and negotiation of strategic cooperation agreements including NDAs, MOUs, teaming agreements and early-stage development frameworks.

Develop and maintain market intelligence related to energy policies, regulatory developments, customer strategies, competitive landscape and technology trends.

Engage with government institutions and policy stakeholders to support the development of favorable regulatory and market frameworks for advanced nuclear and energy storage technologies.

Support the development of business cases for deployment of large-scale nuclear reactor, SMR and long duration energy storage.

Identify potential project financing structures and external funding mechanisms supporting development of innovative energy technologies.

Coordinate internally with Global Markets organization to align market development priorities.

Ensure timely internal communication regarding opportunity maturity, capture strategy and resource allocation requirements.

Support transition of opportunities into formal bidding or project development phases.

Collaborate with supply chain and delivery organizations to develop competitive project execution strategies.

Maintain strict compliance with Westinghouse business conduct and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or economics or related field.

Experience in nuclear, power generation or large energy infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Minimum ten years of experience in energy, infrastructure or industrial project development.

Demonstrated experience in market development, business development or strategic sales roles.

Strong understanding of the project development lifecycle including early-stage project structuring and commercial negotiations.

Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and manage complex stakeholder environments.

Strong customer engagement and relationship development skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, government stakeholders and technical experts.

Understanding of project financing structures and risk allocation in large infrastructure projects.

Experience working in international and multicultural environments.

Willingness to travel internationally.

Strong interpersonal and networking capabilities.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 34,500 to 43,125 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
The salary ranges provided in this posting apply to candidates located in Poland; however, we are also open to considering applicants based in other EMEA countries, where compensation may vary depending on the local market.
