The EMEA VAT Lead will support the Manager, Global Tax – Indirect Taxes. The support will involve Indirect tax advisory, planning, and compliance matters. You will partner with the Americas and Asia Tax, Global Trade Compliance, Global Finance, Sales and Customer Integration, Global Supply Chain, and Global IT and Business Processes functions. You will also take the lead and providing subject matter expertise on numerous complex projects.
Responsibilities:

Deliver the Indirect compliance cycle with the current outsource service provider and the EMEA Controllers, ensuring the use of quality data and performing appropriate checks;

We are optimizing, streamlining, and standardizing EMEA VAT processes. These processes include all VAT workstreams, such as SAP tax codes, P Cards, Concur travel & expenses, Ariba and SAP purchases, E-invoicing mandates, and Master data input, etc.

Work with the Shared Service Centre to ensure best practices, and efficient invoice processing and continuous improvements;

Be the point of contact in VAT audits with support of Manager, internal stakeholder functions and external service providers;

Work with and respondingng to your department and other function personnel as VAT questions arise, including intercompany transfer pricing, contract review, Permanent Establishment (PE) risk control, and global deployment tax matters;

Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues and tax law developments;

Maintain our indirect tax procedures and related documentation and calculations. Coordinate with local country controllers and third-party co-sourcing service providers to ensure global application of the procedures and compliance with local country VAT law;

Help maintain a teaming environment and an atmosphere of trust

Deliver trade compliance and supply chain activities. These activities include assisting in efficient supply chain structuring and overseeing the procurement process for APX's nuclear power plant construction projects. Additionally, they involve participating in quote offers and addressing any issues and questions on behalf of the business in EMEA and UK.
Qualifications:

Degree level in accounting, law or equivalent.

5+ years of relevant experience. A combination of public accounting and large multinational experience a plus.

ACA, CTA or VAT tax certificate

ERP SAP experience & Excel required.

Knowledge of ARIBA, VERTEX and other tax software experience

Broad technical knowledge of EMEA VAT tax law and regulations

Communicates complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to audiences without tax expertise.

Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively in fast‑paced, team‑oriented settings.

Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to operate effectively in complex global environments while managing multiple priorities.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 21,250 to 26,533 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
