Engineer - Network Segmentation

Reporting to the Supervisor of Network Segmentation, the Engineer - Network Segmentation will be responsible for the implementation and support of all firewalls as well as assisting in Microsegmentation.  This involves new projects, obsolescence replacements and operational aspects of the Firewall areas.

Your Day To Day

• Assist our global team in the implementation, support and development of the firewalls.
• Assist in the Microsegmentation of network, specific knowledge with Guardicore plus.
• Managing small to medium sized projects.
• Responsible for incidents or tasks assigned through our operational queues.
• Assisting in the response to priority incidents.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex issues, including working with other teams or teammates.
• Operate in an on call rotation specifically in the Firewall area
• Assist in implementing automation where possible
• Ensure documentation is up to date
• Performing any other related duties prioritized by the Network Services Manager or Segmentation supervisor.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with complex, multi-site and segmented networks
• High level of understanding in the network and firewall fields
• Experience in project managing small to mid sized projects
• 5+ years’ experience hands on support and troubleshooting of networks
• Proficient in Palo Alto, Panorama, Python, SolarWinds network configuration manager (NCM), Azure
• Experience with Guardicore other Microsegmentation technology is a plus
