Engineer - Platform Operations

Reporting to the Platform Operations Supervisor, you will support the health, reliability, security, and performance of enterprise infrastructure platforms. These platforms include Windows Server, virtualization, storage, backup, and Active Directory environments, and the Operations Engineer is also responsible for their continuous improvement.

Working within a Plan-Build-Run operating model, this hands-on technical role provides incident resolution, platform maintenance, monitoring, and approved change execution to ensure stable and secure production services. You will follow ITIL best practices and service-level commitments while supporting improvements in automation, operational processes, security, resiliency, and service reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Support & Service Reliability

  • Monitor platform availability, health, performance, and capacity, identifying trends and recommending actions to improve service reliability and resiliency.

  • Address incident, request, and change tickets through ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to ITIL processes, service-level commitments, and operational standards.

  • Perform system maintenance, patching, backup validation, disaster recovery readiness activities, and operational support tasks.

  • Investigate and resolve operational alerts, service degradations, and infrastructure events while escalating issues.

  • Implement vulnerability remediation, system hardening, patch compliance, and platform security activities.

  • Analyze platform health, use, and operational trends to improve stability, performance, and service availability.

  Incident, Problem & Change Management

  • Perform technical troubleshooting activities for infrastructure incidents and service disruptions.

  • Coordinate with Infrastructure, Application, Security, and Service Desk teams to resolve operational issues.

  • Implement approved operational changes and support Problem Management activities for recurring issues.

  • Support cause analyses, post-incident reviews, and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

  Service Transition & Operational Readiness

  • Support service transition and operational readiness activities for new or modified infrastructure services, including documentation review, monitoring validation, and knowledge transfer.

  • Review support procedures, operational documentation, and monitoring requirements to ensure services are supportable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or similar applicable degree or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of IT experience in infrastructure, Windows Server administration, or operations supporting enterprise environments.

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (Incident, Change, Request Management) or equivalent ITSM platform.

• Microsoft or VMware certifications preferred (e.g., VCP, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator).

• ITIL Foundations and ServiceNow Certification

• Server administration and troubleshooting fundamentals.

• Hands-on support of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, backup, and monitoring platforms.

• Experience with patching and remediation activities utilizing SCCM/MECM or equivalent endpoint management technologies.

• Understanding of vulnerability remediation, system hardening, disaster recovery, and security best practices.

• Exposure to PowerShell scripting and automation technologies.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across Infrastructure, Security, Application, and Service Delivery teams.

• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service quality and continuous improvement.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 9,250 to 11,600 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
