The Fire Protection Expert – Construction Permit Design leads all fire protection–related engineering, documentation, and regulatory activities required to obtain construction permits in Poland. This role ensures that all fire safety technical designs, calculations, and project documentation comply with Polish building law or can support derogation efforts, fire safety regulations, and standards required by the Państwowa Straż Pożarna (PSP) during the design and permitting process. The expert supports architects, designers, contractors, and internal engineering teams throughout the full project lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and technical interface with Polish design institutes on fire protection system design, including passive and active systems.

  • Act as primary liaison with the Polish Fire Service (PSP) for design verification, comments, and approvals.

  • Support submission of fire protection documentation to authorities as part of the construction permit application.

  • Respond to authority comments and lead the revision process to achieve full compliance.

  • Participate in technical meetings with ANB, ministries, customer partners, and permitting authorities.

  • Prepare documentation inputs for licensing and permitting/derogation packages

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in fire protection design or regulatory oversight.

  • Familiarity with Polish building code, Construction Law, and EU fire safety standards.

  • Prior work on large infrastructure or conventional power plant/industrial projects in Poland.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CFPS, SITP membership, or fire protection design authorization).

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 17,000 to 21,225 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
