IT Category Specialist

The Category Specialist is responsible and accountable to support the Global Category Manager(s) for Indirect Sourcing / Category Management with a focus on IT procurement. You will support the Global Category Manager(s) for sourcing strategies and implementation for defined global categories supporting Westinghouse's business by managing spend within the category. You will report to Global Indirect Category Manager. You will be part of the Krakow team and work in hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Global Category Manager(s) with a focus on Enterprise IT procurement (hardware, software, services, network, IT Security and mobility-phones)

• Collaborate with Team members and suppliers / vendors including IT and other categories.

• Negotiate and report cost savings and rebates negotiated by Global Category Manager(s)

• Monitor and report on expiring Contracts

• Initiate, support, and/or lead RFP/RFQ bids and analysis. Additionally, handle supplier evaluation, supplier qualification, supplier selection, and supplier development.

• Conduct negotiations, including Master Service Agreements.

• Deliver excellence in procurement activities and support Global Category Manager(s) through a structured category management process including spend analytics, strategy development, negotiations.

• Use tools and techniques to profile, benchmark, assess supply chain risks and trends to ensure security of supply within assigned categories. Examples include SAP, Ariba, PRIME, WAVE, Spend Tool/Power BI etc.

• Manage spend through market and competitive analysis, creation of leverage and professional negotiations to secure the best cost, quality, and service to meet business need.

• Plan, align, and engage with your team to deliver desired results(savings for annual and multi-year savings goals and Average Payment Terms).

• Perform supplier relationship management including the tracking of service level agreements and main indicators.

• Support reconciliation activities relating to supplier accounts, develop and monitor action plans.

• Plan and participate in quarterly business reviews with preferred suppliers and Category Manager(s).

• Continuously seek out opportunities to further improve bottom-line company performance through sourcing projects, supplier communications, quality, payment terms, value stream mapping, supply chain optimization and continuous improvement projects with suppliers.

• Support and execute change management initiatives.

• Maintain awareness of applicable export control regulations to ensure compliance and follow corporate procedures including ethical standards.

• Work closely with the Operational Pillar (Buyers) and Commercial Indirect Pillar (Indirect Sourcing Leads) to ensure understanding and effective execution of the agreed category strategies.

• Support Global Category Manager(s) and collaborate with a cross functional partners to gain full alignment in category and business objectives. Gather feedback from stakeholders via VOC (Voice of the Customer) satisfaction survey. Support the development and execution of the Management Operating System (MOS)

   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience - indirect supply chain experience

• Experience with Professional Services categories - IT Software

• Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions

• Innovative approach; consistently seeking creative solutions to optimize and streamline processes

• Expert in organizing workflows and ensuring delivery of high-quality results

• Ability to manage stress and maintain professional composure, while executing multiple requests and projects simultaneously

• Strong analytical expertise with a focus on identifying trends and improving performance

• Solid business and financial acumen

• Exceptional communicator with a talent for fostering collaboration and aligning teams toward shared goals

• Experience pivoting strategies and maintaining focus amid evolving business demands

• Understanding of Procure to Pay processes including SAP/Ariba, ERP Systems and Cost Savings Tracking Systems (Wave)

• Culturally aware, international experience

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11416 PLN to 14266 PLN per month. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
