The Category Specialist is responsible and accountable to support the Global Category Manager(s) for Indirect Sourcing / Category Management. The focus of this role is on Professional / Engineering Services—Software Licenses and Digital and Innovation. You will support the Global Category Manager(s) for sourcing strategies and implementation for defined global categories supporting Westinghouse's business by managing spend within the category. You will report to Global Indirect Category Manager. You will be part of the Krakow team and work in hybrid model.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Global Category Managers as well as Professional services suppliers focused on Engineering Services - Software Licenses, Digital and Innovation Consulting Support, and software licenses.

Negotiate and report cost savings and rebates.

Monitor and Report on expiring Contracts.

Support and lead RFP/RFQ bids, supplier evaluation, supplier qualification, supplier selection, supplier development, contract development and negotiations.

Supporting spend analytics, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement

Use tools and techniques to research and assess supply chain risks and trends to ensure security of supply within assigned categories

Manage spend through market and competitive analysis, creation of leverage and professional negotiations to secure the best cost, quality, and service.

Deliver spent goals (annual and multi-year) and spend strategies for assigned categories.

Track suppliers service level agreements and key performance indicators, and perform quarterly business reviews.

Support change management initiatives and continuous improvement projects with suppliers.

Ensure export control regulations compliance and adhere to corporate policies and procedures including ethical standards.

Work closely with the Buyers and Category Specialists to ensure alignment and effective execution of the agreed category strategies.

Support Global Category Managers to reach full alignment in category and business objectives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
-
Minimum 1+ year of experience - indirect supply chain experience preferred vs. other areas of supply chain

Experience with Professional Services categories -Professional / Engineering Services—Software Licenses and Digital and Innovation

Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions

Apply strategic decision‑making, advanced problem‑solving, and structured project leadership to deliver high‑impact results.

Efficiently manage complex workloads with accuracy under tight deadlines while delivering resolutions and responsive support to company partners.

Constantly identify creative solutions to streamline processes

Ability to manage stress and maintain professional composure, while accomplishing multiple requests and projects simultaneously

Strong data‑analysis capabilities, solid business and financial acumen, and a strategic mindset.

Understanding of Procure to Pay processes including Icertis, SAP/Ariba, ERP Systems and Cost Savings Tracking Systems (Wave)

Experience with Professional Services (HR), Legal, IT Software, Facilities and MRO

Use clear, adaptive communication to overcome obstacles, foster alignment, and remain responsive in dynamic environments.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
