As a Lead Engineer for CE Marking & Product Compliance for the AP1000 Poland Project Engineering Organization, you will provide technical leadership and oversight for European regulatory compliance activities across engineering scope. Additionally, you will provide support and coordination with activities for procurement, manufacturing, and construction scope.
You will engage on a vast set of nuclear power plant components and commodities in support to Westinghouse International new build market development. You will be responsible for continued development of CE Marking strategies for equipment, systems, and structural modules, ensuring assessment and compliance with applicable European Regulations and associated Polish Regulations.
The AP1000 Poland Project Engineering department includes both US-based and Europe-based groups. The groups work together to deliver the missions of the department.
You will report to the Component, Structures, and Construction Integration Project Engineering Manager (PEM).
You will work in hybrid model with 2 days at office.
Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of CE marking and product compliance strategies for Poland project equipment, systems, and structural modules.

Coordinate from project engineering side, the cross-functional implementation of regulatory requirements across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Licensing, Construction, and supporting supply chain procurement activities

Be a primary project engineering interface with customers, suppliers, the constructor partner, Notified Bodies, and regulatory authorities.

Guide applicability assessments and conformity requirements for CPR, PED, Machinery Regulation, EMC, Low Voltage Directive, and other relevant European and Polish regulations.

Review and guide compliance deliverables, including Declarations of Conformity, Declarations of Performance, technical files, risk assessments, and compliance matrices.

Support Engineering design package release for procurement and turnover to supply chain. This release is associated with project milestones. Additionally, provide input to decision making that meets project technical, commercial, and schedule needs. This input focuses on Long and Medium lead items related to CE marking topics.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project engineering teams on CE marking, conformity assessment procedures, and regulatory obligations.

Identify and mitigate compliance risks, track implementation status, and report main issues and activities to project leadership and partners.

Drive continuous improvement of compliance processes, tools, lessons learned, and best practices across the Poland new-build project.
Qualifications:

12 to 15 + years' engineering experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, project engineering, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, or related technical functions.

Demonstrated experience with CE Marking, product conformity assessment, and European regulatory frameworks.

Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, including: Construction Products Regulation (CPR), Pressure Equipment Directive (PED),Machinery Regulation, EMC Directive, Low Voltage Directive.

Experience working with Notified Bodies, certification organizations, suppliers, and regulatory agencies

Familiarity with large-scale infrastructure, energy, industrial, or nuclear projects.· Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.

Experience managing technical documentation and regulatory deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience identifying and resolving complex compliance and technical issues while balancing project schedule, cost, and quality goals.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 17,000 to 21,225 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
