Principal Engineer, App Integration

The Principal Engineer - Application Integration is an important role in delivering application installation, configuration and deployment services for multiple applications at Westinghouse. The primary responsibility for this position will be the technical owner of applications in the Westinghouse portfolio. This is a role based in Poland, you will work in hybrid model at Krakow office. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and support of custom and commercial applications

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the portfolio of applications

• Work with technical leaders and architects to keep the team aligned with design approaches and strategic goals

• Based on life cycle management of application portfolio, recommends installs/upgrades of applications, including patches, major releases and hardware migrations.

• Review, test, update and document detailed disaster recovery/business continuity plans for main systems

• Mentor junior team members in the performance of technical work.

• Upgrade, configure and maintain monitoring software to baseline system performance and identify (and remedy) potential issues. Resource monitoring and capacity planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.

• 10+ years of administration of application environment

• Expert-level troubleshooting for critical application, database, networking and system administration issues

• Experience supporting applications running on WebLogic and IIS web servers using Oracle and SQL Server databases

• Experience in maintenance of purchased and custom application configuration, deployment and support

• Fluent knowledge of English

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 13,916 to 17,350PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
