Principal Engineer

The Lead Civil Engineer will serve as the primary interface for all civil/structural engineering aspects of design harmonization, ensuring that plant structures meet Polish seismic, geotechnical, and building code requirements while aligning with the original U.S.-based nuclear design.

Location: Warsaw or Krakow

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with local engineering partners to validate and adapt U.S.-based civil design to Polish/EU requirements and site conditions.
• Review and support development of structural calculations, analysis models, and compliance documents.
• Support derogation documentation related to civil design elements.
• Maintain alignment with EU civil engineering norms and IAEA siting standards.
• Expected extensive interface with local design partner, customer, regulatory authorities and in-country authorities on building permits and licensing issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of civil, structural design or engineering oversight experience.
• Familiarity with Polish Construction Law, seismic/building codes, and EN Eurocode series.
• Experience supporting nuclear, energy, or industrial infrastructure projects in Poland.
• Proven experience in active execution of at least one large power or industrial project in Poland during last 10 years
• Certified civil / construction design Engineer.
• Certification for civil / construction site activities would be an advantage
• Fluent Polish and at least communicative English (preferred fluent English)
• Availability to travel – Regular travel to partner locations and regulator meetings
