The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for the ongoing delivery of SAP tasks for the Global Westinghouse organization. This role is focused on the responsibility of delivering standard data structures across the Global organization and the analysis of WEC business data with strict adherence to established service level agreements.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and update data in SAP PS system and additional project controls tool (ARM, MS Project or Primavera)
  • Complete ServiceNow generated tasks from Project Managers and other stakeholders in accordance with established team’s SLAs and KPIs
  • Review data entered to ensure data quality aligns with company standards.
  • Support data clean up initiatives to improve data quality and reporting 
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, including development of standard templates and tools used by the team.
  • Review and analyze data to ensure a high level of accuracy, correctness, and relevance 
  • Prepare cost reports and monitor cost and commitment to budget
  • Cooperate with EPMO and other teams within GSS ex. Accounts Receivable, Order Entry, Supply Chain Team
  • Work as a team on ad hoc projects as requested by team leaders. Train newly hired staff
  • Identify data issues and drive data governance
  • Work independently with limited supervision
  • Adhere to WEC Human Performance rules in performance of the tasks

 

 

Requirements:

  • B.A., B.S. in Business or Finance  
  • 2+ years of global experience
  • Knowledge of Westinghouse and the industry
  • Proven track record with respect to knowledge of financial processes, controls, and associated improvement programs
  • A general understanding of Westinghouse systems and data quality needs
  • Excellent communication. Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities, manage time and multi-task
  • Ability to show initiative, good judgment and resourcefulness
  • Detail oriented with a problem-solving mindset and ability to meet deadlines and be results oriented
  • Desire to produce accurate, high-quality work with attention to details
  • Experienced in SAP, MS Office, and other software packages
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing project needs in evolving situations
