The GSS Project Controls Team Leader is responsible for the ongoing development of project controls processes. This role is focused on all project controls ERP systems. They are responsible for using previous experience to actively look for process improvements in both manual and automated processes. Cooperates with management team on process development. Leads process transition and stabilization. Works as a people manager.
Your Day to Day:
- Lead, manage, motivate and develop a growing team of Project Controls Specialists
- Conduct team and individual meetings with subordinates
- Participate in team capacity planning and allocating work across the team
- Drive and propose process improvements within assigned scope of processes
- Provide team members with coaching and assure process team training requirements are satisfied
- Manage various complex issues and initiatives
- Create development plans and performance objectives for team
- Internal client facing role (calls, presentations to internal stakeholders both from the business and Enterprise Project Management Office)
- Maintains all service delivery metrics in the team according to SLA's
- Maintains team’s attrition level according to the annual objective
Who You Are:
- B.A., B.S. in Business, Engineering or Computer Science
- 3-5 years experience
- Global experience
- Knowledge of Westinghouse and the industry
- Proven track record with respect to knowledge of financial processes, controls, and associated improvement programs
- A general understanding of Westinghouse systems and data quality needs
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities, manage time and multi-task
- Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
- Detail oriented with a problem-solving mindset and ability to meet deadlines and be results oriented
- Desire to produce accurate, high-quality work with attention to details
- Proficiency in SAP PS module and other software packages
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing project needs in evolving situations
- People management skills
