The AP1000 Poland Project Engineering organization is looking for a Project Engineering Manager (PEM) to support advancement of the AP1000 new build at the Lubiatowo-Kopalino site. This PEM will engage on specific technical and project related nuclear power plant design topics in support of execution of active Polish Project contracts. Efforts also include the planning and capture phase of future project contracts.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Engineering Directors and teams to implement standard work processes, procedures and automation tools on our AP1000 Poland Contracts consistent with the strategic direction established by the respective Project Partners. This includes both technical and programmatic related topics.

  • Provide direction to assigned project lead(s) and team members for contractual scope execution.

  • Responsible for development and distribution of engineering budgets and schedules for respective statements of work within the Poland AP1000 contracts. Identify resource demands and develop supporting justification. Monitor staffing needs for assigned project scopes.

  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems.

  • Guide continuous improvement plans and project/program expansion opportunities.

  • Responsible for time approval, development and performance management of direct reports. Engage and manage in-country-based engineers at Poland Hubs.

  • Support multiple aspects of future bid and proposal efforts concerning future contract phases and identified additional project scopes.

  • Communicate with Polish client (PEJ), Polish regulatory body (PAA), the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT), and project designated partners to support Westinghouse partner engagement.

  • Work with project management team members, support management activities (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource allocation management) for complex projects.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex technically oriented projects with programmatic, budgetary, and resource direction responsibilities.

  • We prefer 15+ years of professional experience in engineering/technology-based industries.

  • Proficiency in Polish and English language

  • Familiarity with Poland Regulatory Body PAA

  • Familiarity with the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT)

  • Certified Poland Professional Engineer

  • Experience leading and directing medium or high complexity projects to successful completion.

  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective leadership

  • Experience building relationships with partners in upper management positions.

  • Experience analyzing issues, determining important facts, and making complex decisions with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to establish networks across different areas and can lead and motivate a team to reach a common goal.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 21,250 to 26,533 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
