Lead Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within Corporate accounts through meticulous journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of accounting and financial management requiring strong understanding of accounting principles. You will also cooperate with various parties in the process of financial statements preparation and review of postings accuracy, as well as support for statutory audits. Results of the individual work must result in accurate and timely month end close and financial information for key stakeholders within Organization. 

We will consider candidates REMOTE in Poland for this role.

Your Day to Day:

• Monthly/Quarterly/Annual GL Journal Bookings and month end-close review
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP & Local GAAP)  and company policies in all journal booking activities.
• Ensure all the month end close entries have been posted as required.
  • Provide support and insights as needed to address any discrepancies or issues in the TB.
  • Timely perform thorough reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.
• Obtain balance confirmations and proactively resolve any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to rectify any identified discrepancies.
  • Assisting with Audits and Financial Statements preparation process
• Conduct ad hoc analysis of various types of financial information as required.
  • Support the existing finance team in several European Countries, with a focus on Poland, Czech Republic.

Who You Are:

• 5 - 7 years in accounting, finance.
• Graduate in Accounting
• Polish CA (or equivalent)
• Big4 experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, Excel in particular is a must,
• Good written and spoken English, Czech is a plus
• Experience with enterprise information systems, (SAP)
