Senior Engineer - Backup

 Reporting to the Supervisor – Storage and Backup, the Senior Engineer - Backup will be responsible for leading and assisting in the implementation and support of backup solutions globally.  This involves both project and operational support.

Your Day to Day

• As part of a global team you will assist in the implementation, support and development of the global backup solutions.
• Work on implementation projects for new sites or lifecycle management.
• Managing small enhancement projects
• Work out of the Platform Services Backup operational queue
• Assist in the response to priority incidents
• Support backup monitoring and resolving failures. 
• Assist in implementing backup automation where possible
• Assist the backup team in generating and verifying that documentations are up to date and assist the team in coaching or documenting where needed
• Performing any other related duties prioritized by the Platform Services Manager.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a complex, global engineering and manufacturing organization
• High level of understanding of Enterprise Backup Solutions
• Experience in project managing small to mid-sized projects
• Experience delivering highly complex, global programs and projects
• Open to travel once or twice a year for projects or team building sessions
• Proficient in Cohesity Backup technology.
