Senior Engineer

Member of the “AP1000 Large CA Modules Fabrication Support” group integrated in the “Large Modules & Site Physical Design Team” within the Building Engineering & Physical Design (BEPD) department. The engineer will support structural steel module fabrication for Poland, Bulgaria, US, and future plants. You will be Poland-based with a preferred location in Krakow or Warsaw.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support and oversight of the large structural steel modules fabrication support for AP1000 European and US Domestic plants

• Drive continuous improvement of products, processes, and/or procedures to support fabrication of these modules.

• Working with the rest of the FFE Team, providing answers to fabricators' Request For Information (RFI), reviewing shop drawings, addressing non conformance requests, and any other way to support the fabrication of the steel modules.

• Coordinate with Supply Chain Team, providing updates of the tasks to support fabricators.

• Engage with partners, supply chain, and WEC senior management as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Civil/Structural or Mechanical engineer preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of strong and progressively structural steel design and support to fabrication.

• Knowledge on structural steel design and codes. US Codes preferred.

• Knowledge on welding design and codes. US Codes (AWS) preferred.

• Experience with European and US nuclear quality standards and engineering change control processes preferred.

• Ability to organize and delegate work and ensure deliverables are completed on time with high quality.

• Good team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
