Welcome to our team, we are part of the Global Nuclear Fuel Engineering division, which is responsible for the codes used for core design, thermal hydraulics, criticality analysis, mechanical design, safety analysis, method- and software development!
We are looking for a talented Software Developer to join our team to work with development of core monitoring systems and nuclear engineering tools used to support our daily work in the nuclear fuel industry. In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to design, develop, test, and maintain our products both for internal use and in worldwide customer projects.

Your contribution for a carbon-free future
As Software developer here with us, your main responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for the nuclear power industry. Among other things, this means that you will:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using industry-standard languages and frameworks.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members
The role is placed in Krakow, Poland, and this position offers a hybrid work setup.

To be a good match for this role, we believe that you are an excellent problem-solver, can work independently and as part of a team. In this role you will need excellent communication and collaboration skills. You have experience in working in a Linux environment and are motivated by development.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.
- Good programming skills in scripting languages such as Python, shell programming or tcl/tk.
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment and are familiar with version control systems such as git.
Meritorious:
- Understanding of nuclear engineering concepts and principles
- Previous work experience in the nuclear sector, and with software such as Core Monitoring Systems and Simulators.
- Experience of numerical methods in software engineering
- Experience of working with high availability system
- Experience with SQL databases
- Good programming skills in C/C++
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 7,333 to 9,133 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
