As the Customer Solutions Manager of Rotating Equipment Services and Valves you will play a critical role in steering our company’s future and shareholder value by driving product the product portfolio and lead the development of offers in partnership with business operations. This role will provide expert advice, analysis, leadership and hold accountability for driving process and product improvements to increase near term (1-2 year) market share and capture orders. The role is critical in defining the trajectory for our product offering and enhancing our competitive edge in the marketplace. In addition, this leader will become the expert in understanding the needs of the business and translating them into processes that are enabled by the respective systems (D365, SAP, etc.).
- Portfolio Strategy/Oversite: In conjunction with operations leadership, support product strategy and execute capture plans in partnership with the Global Markets, Saves, and WEC Innovation business areas. In addition, validate process and actions are taken to assure opportunities and contracts are being proactively maintained and actioned upon within the appropriate WEC systems (e.g. D365, SAP, etc.).
- Capture Work: Lead the development of bids/proposals
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute initiatives to drive product/service and relationship improvements to grow market share
Success requires the candidate to engage matrixed organizations to develop shared vision and teaming with our Global Markets, Sales, and business support organizations (e.g. HR, IT, Finance) to meet synergy targets from the integration and drive new OE to support annual growth targets.
This is position is considered a mobile work profile. Within a mobile work profile you will have flexibility to work remotely as needed, however a key portion of this position will require periodic in person engagement at our Waltz Mill facility, located near Madison, PA. Overall the time split is expected to be at a minimum: 25% Waltz Mill, 20% Travel (week day business trips), and the remaining time may be worked from a remote location.
Your Day to Day:
- Bid/Proposal (Primary): Lead bid/proposal efforts to develop highly competitive proposals.
- Product Leadership (Secondary):
- Support product managers in the development of long-term growth and innovation strategies.
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the company's goals and customer needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver high-quality products and features
- Conduct market research, user feedback, and data analysis to identify user problems, validate solutions, and measure outcomes
- Communicate the product value proposition, features, and benefits to internal and external stakeholders, such as executives, investors, partners, and users
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, scope, and timeline, and ensure timely and effective delivery of product releases
- Communication: Develop trusting relationships with internal and external leaders to grow market intelligence and position WEC to win.
- Metrics/Schedules: Proactively develop and report out to AOMs leadership metrics to track initiative progress, actions, and results.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field
- Masters In Business Administration or willingness to obtain is highly preferred.
- Existing experience in Rotating Equipment Services within the commerical nuclear power market is highly desirable, however not required.
- 3+ years of experience in product management and/or project management is preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical discipline
- Strong knowledge of strategic business and product development
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and user feedback to drive product decisions
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire diverse audiences
- Passionate about building products that solve real user problems and deliver value
