Field Service Technician II

About the role:

As a Field Service Technician II you will be a full-time employee providing service center operations and field services at nuclear power plants throughout the world for the Rotating Equipment Services group. You will use high technology service equipment and manual tools in a manner reflecting Westinghouse's commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality.

You will report to the Rotating Equipment Resource Manager and be located at our Waltz Mill site in Madison, PA. When not traveling, this is an onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related qualifications to support outage assignments
• Disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing of reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related components
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related field service equipment
• Document issues, anomalies, lessons learned, good practices, process improvements, ideas for consideration, etc. For example, document equipment performance issues during field implementation (thus enabling us to follow-up with corrective actions prior to the next scheduled use).
• Perform service center operations including (but not limited to) equipment maintenance (preventative and reactive), decontamination, pre and post-shipment activities, material handling, and calibration services
• Perform all assigned tasks with minimal supervision, no safety issues, a high degree of quality, good housekeeping practices, and in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Oversee assigned projects and small teams with predetermined goals—assume resource lead responsibilities
• Successfully participate in hands-on and computer-based training, as assigned
• Contribute to training program development and instruction, as applicable
• Participate in cross-training and ultimately cross-utilization, as necessary based on business needs

Qualifications:

• Between 10-25 weeks of travel per year (typical), depending on the specific outage season schedule
• Maintain "Unescorted Access" status (positive standing in the Fitness-for-Duty and Behavioral Observation programs)
• Work with hazardous materials in a radiological environment with a “Safety First” mentality
• Carry and lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and possess a full range of motion.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $55,238.26 to $83,978.83 per year.
