As a Field Services Student Technician on our Steam Generator team in Madison, PA, you will support our Inspection Service Business, a nuclear industry leader in nondestructive examination.  As a team member on the Inspection Services team, you will get to work on assignments to support manual and robotic inspections, as well as component cleaning services. We are a fast-paced environment so specific projects may vary.   

 

You will report to the Manager of Remote Delivery and Robotics, and will be based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. 

  

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Work closely with experienced technicians and engineers on inspection tooling for a variety of services.  

  • Detail oriented tool preparation to support teams deployed to outages.  

  • Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, inspect, install, repair, and assemble basic equipment (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic). 

  • Site specific training, radiation safety, hazard communication and rigging. 

  • Demonstrate, understand and practice Human Performance Tools, INPO Principals, Industrial Health & Safety, and ALARA principals, specific security requirements, and the importance of observing both Westinghouse and customer license requirements.  

  • Take initiative on assigned tasks with little oversight. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Must be able to drive  

  • Must be a student and 18 years old  

  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Detail-oriented and multitasking skills. 

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $18 per hour.
