This position is responsible for managing INTERNATIONAL transportation of nuclear related tooling and parts to and from our Waltz Mill Service Center, as well as supporting logistics needs for various Westinghouse locations. Reporting directly to the U.S. Transport & Logistics Manager, this position is key to ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective logistics operations to meet customer expectations.
Must have internationsl logistics experience.
Your Day to Day:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage international shipments, including scheduling, tracking, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers, site personnel, and customers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Work with carriers to secure efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Prepare and review shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, dangerous goods declarations, and invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Manage ATA Carnets for temporary import and exports
- Ensure compliance with global shipping regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain precise records of all logistics activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and resolve logistical challenges.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations.
Key Compentencies:
- Proven experience in international shipping and knowledge of customs regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and clients.
- Capable of working independently and within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to work in an environment that may include noise, hot or cold temperatures
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role
- APICS CLTD certification preferred
